Job Description

  • Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based in Orange NSW
  • Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary starting at $99938.00 super and leave loading

About the Role

RAA Assistant Program Officers are responsible for providing high quality and responsive customer services conducting application assessments and post approval processing to support the delivery of the RAAs financial assistance programs.

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Review assess and recommend outcomes on complex financial assistance applications and claim requests ensuring sound evidence-based decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with program guidelines eligibility criteria policies and responsible lending standards while meeting service timeframes.
  • Identify and manage potential fraud risks escalating matters appropriately and providing accurate information to the Manager for resolution.
  • Prepare high quality correspondence and reports in relation to applications including titles and securities assessments variations and materials to RAA and DPIRD presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely high-quality data entry to support effective decision making and reporting.
  • Provide clear professional advice and support to applicants and stakeholders on application statuses conditions variations and effectively resolve enquiries including complaints.

About You

To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.
  • Experience in handling sensitive and complex enquiries including managing complaints and supporting distressed customers with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly adapt messaging to diverse audiences and build positive relationships.
  • Resilient and adaptable mindset with a commitment to openness honesty and embracing change in a dynamic environment.
  • Sound knowledge of lending principles policies and best practice standards with the ability to apply these in complex situations.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to assess and interpret complex financial information in relation to loan applications and client circumstances.

To be considered for an ongoing appointment applicants must be ongoing at either an equivalentor higher grade than this advertised vacancy (Clerk Grade 5/6) OR on a current and valid talent pool at this grade or higher. Alternatively if you do not meet the requirement for an ongoing appointment you may only be considered for a temporary appointment of up to 12 months.
