Job Description
Location: Waxahachie TX 75165
Shift: 8-hr Days 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
- Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures per protocol and schedule.
- Use AIDET communication to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Assess patient needs confirm exams and build rapport.
- Educate patients/families about procedures and address concerns.
- Prepare and position patients/equipment using proper immobilization.
- Operate and adjust radiation equipment safely and accurately.
- Follow all safety infection control and sterile technique protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment/workspace.
- Collaborate with physicists/engineers for equipment performance.
- Report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Support inventory control and supply management.
- Screen individuals entering the department per policy.
- Verify necessary documentation (requisitions history consents precautions).
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality timely radiation therapy.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Committed to providing courteous and efficient service to patients.
- Professional demeanor and a focus on improving patient satisfaction.
- Competent in treating patients across age groups: newborn to geriatric.
Required Certification/Licensure:
- ARRT-T Radiation Therapy Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-T).
