Job Description
Respiratory Therapist (Permanent Role)
Location: Trinidad CO 81082
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
- Daily Rounding:
Conduct respiratory rounds on Med/Surg inpatients assessing and managing respiratory care needs. - Emergency Room Support:
Provide immediate respiratory therapy services to all patients entering the Level 4 Emergency Room.
Focus on stabilization and transfer of critical patients. - EKG Services:
Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs) on all patients presenting to the ER. - Equipment Management:
Maintain clean and troubleshoot respiratory equipment in compliance with hospital policies. - Documentation & Communication:
Accurately document all patient interactions and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active CRT or RRT credential (NBRC)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Colorado
- BLS required; ACLS PALS and NRP preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience: 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
