Job Description

RN- Medical Surgical (Permanent Role)

Location: Marble Falls TX 78654
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and prioritize care based on clinical need.
  • Develop implement and regularly update personalized care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families emphasizing empathy professionalism and respect.
  • Educate patients families nurses and community members to promote informed healthcare decisions.
  • Assess and document educational needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to coordinate care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion and quality.
  • Use critical thinking and various problem-solving strategies to address patient and system issues.
  • Promote patient safety and deliver efficient effective care within established protocols.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development team collaboration and community service.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards hospital procedures and patient care practices.
  • Proficient in disease prevention health promotion and pharmacology (including common medications and side effects).
  • Understanding of nursing laws ethical standards and patient rights.
  • Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with a diverse patient population and healthcare team.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency including use of:
    • Microsoft Office
    • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
    • Email scheduling and payroll systems
    • Information security practices
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • Active RN license (Texas state)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
