Your Career
Palo Alto Networks SaaS Security team is looking for a seasoned and accomplished Senior Software Engineer to help scale out our security platform with a sharp focus on platform and infrastructure capabilities. As a member of the team you have the unique opportunity to:
- Be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking cloud security service offerings
- Lead initiatives in the platform team to deliver security as a service in the public cloud by providing highly scalable highly available and fault-tolerant solutions
- Deliver innovative solutions that enhances the security of AI agents and agentic workflows
This role is located at our dynamic Santa Clara California headquarters campus.
Your Impact
- Build out world class Agentic AI security platform influencing critical decisions on technology architectureintegration and reusability
- Influence and architect cloud native distributed computing system design data ingestion pipelines and data storage solutions
- Research and develop Machine Learning algorithms to enable security solutions for emerging agentic AI workflows
- Work cross-functionally with Product Management SRE Software and Quality Engineering teams to deliver new security as a service offerings to the market in a timely fashion with excellent quality
- Participate in all phases of the product development cycle including requirement analysis design development test release and support
- Foster software development best practices to deliver clean testable maintainable readable and scalable code
- Work closely with customer support teams to improve end-customer outcomes
- Identify innovative patentable solutions for complex problems to influence thought leadership within the organization
Qualifications :
Your Experience
- Industry experience building scalable web applications
- Proficiency in Front-End technologies: React (hooks Redux component architecture)
- Strong Back-End development experience in one or more of the following: Java Python
- Solid understanding of modern software architecture microservices RESTful APIs and cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure)
- Familiar with AI-based technologies (e.g. LLM integration ML model APIs vector databases) and AI-based productivity tools (e.g. Copilot ChatGPT Tabnine)
- Proven experience leading complex projects and mentoring engineers
- Bachelors 4 years or Masters 2 yrs experience building scalable web applications
- Education : M.S./B.S. degree in Engineering Data Science or equivalent experience in a related field or equivalent military experience required

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126000/YR - $160000/ offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
