Description

TheEducation Project Manager I RQI Improvement Program plays a key role in delivering and supporting performance-focused resuscitation training under the American Heart Associations Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program. This role combines traditional BLS instruction with coaching mentorship and real-time feedback to help healthcare providers achieve and maintain high-quality CPR performance through frequent low-dose high-frequency training.



Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate onboarding and orientation of healthcare providers into the RQI program including device use and program structure.
  2. Support RQI station operations by monitoring usage providing real-time feedback and troubleshooting technical or instructional issues.
  3. Coach learners on CPR psychomotor skills using objective feedback from RQI manikins (e.g. depth recoil rate).
  4. Deliver in-person or virtual Heartsaver and BLS Provider updates when needed maintaining fidelity to AHA guidelines.
  5. Promote the RQI model of continuous improvement and high-frequency practice within clinical departments.
  6. Collaborate with clinical leadership and the AHA Training Center to track compliance identify skill gaps and enhance resuscitation performance culture.
  7. Maintain accurate records of learner completion and performance data in accordance with AHA and institutional standards.
  8. Stay current on updates to AHA science RQI platform enhancements and best practices for performance-based learning.
  9. Participate in instructor calibration sessions and quality assurance reviews to ensure consistency across the program
  10. Coordinate in-situ simulations in collaboration with nurse educators
  11. Liaison with the simulation center as needed
  12. Lead community-focused CPR training programs


Qualifications
  • Associates degree required
  • Current AHA BLS Instructor certification
  • Completion of RQI Instructor Essentials (or complete within 1 year of hiring)
  • Strong understanding of high-performance CPR metrics and AHA resuscitation science
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to provide supportive objective feedback
  • Knowledge of resuscitation simulation manikins

Experience Requirements

Preferred

  • Experience as an educator or coach in clinical or simulation-based environments
  • Familiarity with RQI platform simulation station management and LMS/eCard systems
  • Clinical experience in acute care or emergency settings (e.g. RN RT Paramedic EMT)
  • Experience driving an ambulance or other similarly sized vehicle

Describe Work Environment

  • May involve traveling to different units or satellite facilities to support RQI stations
  • Frequent standing demonstrating CPR and interacting at simulation stations
  • Flexible hours may be required to meet the needs of 24/7 clinical operations
