Job Summary
This is a remote position.
Join our client s growing physical therapy practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to patients across Kansas Missouri and Arizona.
Virtual Rockstar is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Biller/ Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our client s billing and revenue cycle management team.
Accurately prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies (electronic and paper).
Post payments from insurance companies and patients into the EMR system.
Reconcile patient accounts and identify discrepancies or payment issues.
Follow up on unpaid denied or underpaid claims with insurance companies.
Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain an organized accounts receivable system and generate regular aging reports.
Work closely with the practice s administrative team to ensure timely revenue collection.
Assist with correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims when necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience in medical billing accounts receivable or claims management.
Familiarity with Prompt EMR and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Knowledge of CPT ICD-10 and insurance billing guidelines is a plus.
Experience in healthcare administration or physical therapy billing is preferred.

Previous experience in a medical administrative role (medical assistant, medical receptionist, or similar) is preferred. Familiarity with WebPT EMR and Therabill for patient payment posting is a plus. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. High level of professionalism and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Comfortable with remote work and proficient in using virtual communication tools. Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-authorizations is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to a positive patient experience.
