Join a growing commercial property management firm with a portfolio of 45 properties and over 450 active tenants including both national retail chains and local businesses. Our client values professional growth leverages advanced property management technology and maintains strong relationships with tenants of all sizes.
They are seeking a skilled AP/AR and Bookkeeper to manage the full financial operations of this commercial property this role you will oversee daily transactions handle complex lease structures (including triple net reconciliations) and support long-term financial processes. This is a remote position within a secure virtual environment where you ll collaborate closely with management and engage directly with a diverse tenant base.
Process and manage a monthly accounts payable volume of 350 vendor invoices
Oversee accounts receivable for 450 commercial tenants including payment processing allocation and reconciliation
Handle complex commercial lease structures including triple net reconciliations and recoverable expense tracking
Manage tenant collections including past-due notifications and professional follow-up
Process and reconcile multiple payment methods (ACH checks online portal payments)
Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Create and maintain financial reporting dashboards for insurance and property tax tracking
Generate quarterly and annual financial statements
Process payroll and prepare associated journal entries
Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries
Oversee tenant chargebacks and refund processes
Monitor and resolve payment exceptions and discrepancies
Proven experience in commercial property management accounting
Strong understanding of triple net lease structures and reconciliations
Proficiency with property management software systems
Experience with virtual desktop interfaces and remote work environments
Excellent professional communication and tenant relations skills
Strong attention to detail with ability to manage high transaction volumes
Ability to work US Central Time zone hours (9 AM 5 PM CST)
Experience handling confidential financial information
Background in commercial lease accounting (preferred)
Professional accounting or bookkeeping certification (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to work independently with high accuracy
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
