Title: Purchasing Agent

Salary Range: $1000 - $1500 USD/month

Responsibilities:
The Senior Purchasing Agents responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Purchasing of raw material WIP and FG.
- Establishing and initiating Purchase Orders from suppliers in accordance with Bill of Material requirements.
- Requesting quotes for all tools parts supplies raw materials and other supplies for plant operations; obtaining multiple quotes for comparison whenever possible.
- Negotiating re-negotiating and general administration of contracts with external providers.
- Ensuring Bills of Materials are accurate for all parts.
- Reviewing and monitoring short-term and long-term forecasts for production requirements.
- Performing various clerical duties associated with purchasing.
- Maintaining records of purchase orders.
Cross-Department Coordination and Reporting:
- Developing weekly and monthly production status reports of material availability as required.
- Preparing scrap and inventory reports for select customers.
- Attending production meetings to identify and resolve potential material issues.
- Responsible for establishing documentation for new potential suppliers including questionnaires.
- Updating and maintaining inventory control documents.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of vendor databases in E2.
- Keeping up-to-date records of material price changes to ensure the Operations Manager has the correct information required to quote jobs.
- Establishing vendor management scorecards and facilitating active management regarding vendor results.
- Along with the finance and management team assisting in the recognition and disposition of obsolete/aging inventory.
- Evaluating purchase price variance (PPV) and developing strategies to reduce overall material spend.
- Identifying and evaluating potential sources of supply disruption (single-sourced materials material delays etc.).
- Establishing economic order quantities or min/max levels for high-volume SKUs.
Requirements:
- University degree (field agnostic).
- Previous procurement or supply chain experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in automotive coils or metals procurement.
- Detail-oriented humble willing to go above and beyond.
