You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailEfficient management of the Loading Bay area coordinating a high volume of deliveries within tight time frames.
Work with different department leads and suppliers to ensure an efficient operation.
Manage the overall operation including maintenance health & safety and legal requirements.
Ensure service is delivered to a high standard as per service level agreement company policy and current legislation.
Defining systems of working to ensure quality of product problems are resolved with solutions and continuous improvement initiatives are instigated
Providing reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management
Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with all department section managers ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service that elevates the DO & CO reputation and any highlighted problems have an implemented solution
Driving success by proactively managing team performance provide development and succession planning opportunities
Ensuring the effective development implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures ensuring their consistent and compliant application
Proactively taking steps to ensure own skills and knowledge continue to improve in all aspects including technical and leadership
Maintaining good working relationships with all DO & CO family members
Taking responsibility for all your actions support your team and celebrate successes as a family
Qualifications :
Similar experience in a warehouse loading bay or experience within a fresh food industry related sector is desirable
Excellent communication skills
Understanding and knowledge of statutory compliance requirements within a loading bay operations
Confidence in leading a team ready to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to give our partners the best service with a problem-solving mentality
Passion for high-end cuisine love for food and motivation to deliver exceptional service
Well presented professional individual with a can-do positive attitude that indulges in team success
The ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies in order to gain optimal results
Meticulous attention to detail and data driven with the ability to influence and educate
Build strong relationships with colleagues mentoring and motivating creating a team spirit encouraging them to be at their best
You are a clear and engaging communicator strong written and verbal English and will use a variety of methods to keep the team well informed
Flexible in the way you think making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right for our partners and the DO & CO family
Have a great understanding and working knowledge of the whole unit and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands-on approach
Highly proficient in excel with excellent working knowledge of reporting
Financial awareness -good strong numerical reasoning ability as precise and accurate reporting is required to Senior Management
