Job Summary

Role Overview

The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing and elevating the F&B experience at this 5 star lodge in Limpopo ensuring world-class service standards seamless operations and innovative dining experiences that align with the lodge s luxury brand. The role requires a dynamic leader with extensive hospitality experience a refined understanding of fine dining and safari lodge operations and the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily F&B operations including restaurants bars boma dinners bush breakfasts and private dining.
    • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen service bar and events.
    • Implement and uphold service standards ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience.
  • Guest Experience & Service Excellence
    • Personally engage with guests to anticipate and exceed expectations.
    • Curate memorable dining experiences tailored to safari lodge settings.
    • Address guest feedback promptly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead motivate and train F&B staff ensuring a culture of service excellence and professionalism.
    • Manage staffing levels scheduling and performance reviews.
    • Identify training needs and implement continuous development programs.
  • Financial & Inventory Management
    • Manage budgets control costs and maximize revenue opportunities.
    • Oversee stock control ordering and supplier relationships to ensure premium quality and cost efficiency.
    • Conduct monthly inventory and financial reporting.
  • Health Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with hygiene health & safety and licensing regulations.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety across all outlets.
  • Innovation & Sustainability
    • Work with chefs to develop innovative menus showcasing local and seasonal ingredients.
    • Incorporate sustainability practices in sourcing waste management and operations.



Requirements


  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a multicultural team.
  • Exceptional communication and guest-relations abilities.
  • Highly organised detail-oriented and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • A passion for luxury hospitality fine dining and delivering unforgettable experiences.
  • Sound knowledge of wines beverages and food pairing.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management Food & Beverage or related field.
  • Professional certifications in food safety wine or hospitality service management advantageous.


Experience

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in food & beverage management within luxury hospitality (5-star lodges boutique hotels or fine dining establishments).
  • Experience in a senior leadership role managing large teams.
  • Previous lodge/safari environment experience highly preferred.
  • Strong track record of driving guest satisfaction operational efficiency and profitability.
