A leading catering company based in Somerset West is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled culinary professional to grow within a dynamic environment while supporting a Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes for a variety of events
Train mentor and supervise junior kitchen staff with patience and professionalism
Maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance with food safety regulations
Support menu planning and execution for both regular catering and special events
Travel regularly to Cape Town venues as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in a catering company environment
Must have a valid driver s licence and own transport
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train junior staff effectively
Able to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable to event schedules and venue requirements
