You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis role combines oversight of health and safety systems with day-to-day support for logistics and operational functions working closely with the leadership team to drive a strong safety culture support continuous improvement and ensure smooth business operations. Here is what you will do:
Health & Safety:
Ensure compliance with Samoas occupational health and safety laws regulations and company policies
Conduct regular safety inspections audits and risk assessments
Investigate incidents accidents and near misses; recommend and implement corrective actions.
Deliver health and safety training and induction for new staff and contractors
Maintain up-to-date records for health and safety including PPE registers first aid kits and hazard logs
Lead or support health and safety committee meetings and initiatives
Run tool box talks for the different teams
Operations Support:
Assist with daily operational logistics including workflow coordination site processes and general warehouse/yard oversight
Monitor asset maintenance schedules and ensure operational equipment is safe and in working order
Coordinate with suppliers transport providers and internal teams to ensure service delivery timelines are met
Support stock control inventory processes and order tracking where required
Assist in planning and implementing improvements in workflow efficiency
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all necessary documentation for safety operations and compliance is current and properly stored
Provide regular reports to management on safety performance incident trends and operational updates
Support internal and external audits and follow up on corrective actions
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
Two to four years of experience in a health and safety operations logistics or similar role
Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations in Samoa
First aid certification
Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to engage teams at all levels
Organised proactive and able to balance safety responsibilities with operational support
A problem-solver with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
A valid Drivers Licence is preferred
Must be fluent in both Samoan & English
