Job Description

Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking a mid-level litigation associate (4 to 6 years of experience ONLY) to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Washington DC.

This role will focus on high-level insurance coverage litigation dispute analysis and coverage assessments including emerging issues related to environmental and product liability.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft complex case evaluations pleadings motions and other litigation documents

Handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda

Manage discovery including depositions and written discovery

Collaborate with clients witnesses experts and opposing counsel

Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes; draft coverage opinions and assessments

Ideal Candidate Profile:

4 to 6 years of complex litigation experience (insurance coverage experience preferred but not required)

Strong interest in insurance law and emerging risks in environmental and product liability litigation

Excellent writing analytical and oral advocacy skills

Strong case management and client communication experience

Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience is a plus

Licensed and in good standing in Washington DC

This is an outstanding opportunity for a litigation associate eager to work on sophisticated insurance coverage disputes within a dynamic high-performing team.

We are seeking candidates who graduated from law school between 2019 & 2021.

Candidates must have Am 100/200 or similar experience very stable resumes and strong academics.
