The Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is looking for a temporary Host(ess) to join our team!

Our 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. Were within one mile of Bryant Park The Morgan Library and Rockefeller Center. Take in unobstructed views of Manhattan and the East River skylines. Our historic Ambassador Grill and iconic lobby are both official New York City Interior Landmarks.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a host(ess) and full availability including nights weekends and holidays.

Shift Pattern: Full availability is needed for this role

Pay Range: $27.32 - $36.42 / hour

What will I be doing

As a Host(ess) you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining.

Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs.
Seat guests and manage the seating chart.
Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
Assist others with side work including but not limited to cleaning stocking folding silverware etc.
Ensure knowledge of menu.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely friendly and efficient manner.
Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
