Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a Sales Representative to join our team. Promotes Ingram Education Services programs and services within assigned territory. Develops and maintains positive relationships with school districts and provides product and services collaboration with the VP/GM TBC develops strategic plan for the territory forecasts revenue and sets annual sales targets. Responsible for meeting territorys sales goals; grows sales in existing accounts and secures new public library accounts.

With an expansive global network of offices and facilities Ingrams services include digital and physical book distribution print-on-demand and digital learning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or year for year experience
  • 3 years sales in book industry or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the book industry
  • Knowledge of the wholesale business
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sells Ingram Education Services and related materials to accounts by contacting established customers and developing new prospects within the assigned territory.
  • Represent Ingram Education Services at assigned conferences. Present products and services to customers.
  • Conduct large group presentations and training sessions. 
  • Grow assigned accounts by performing sales activities in territory including: securing account specifications providing collection development assistance and ipage training to maintain proper communications ordering and shipping delivery for IES customers.
  • Contact assigned accounts via site visits virtual meetings and email to achieve IES sales and to present Ingram programs and services.
  • Keep customers informed about new services or products.
  • Maintain knowledge of new and backlist titles to establish and maintain customer relations.
  • Provide Ingram with market information and actively participate in the development of new programs and services that meet the needs of the market.
  • Achieve revenue and/or profit margin in the territory; ensuring high post-sales satisfaction facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat growth business with customers.
  • Keep informed on new products and/or services and other general information of interest to customers. 
  • Informs customers of availability for large orders and assists with quotes. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers as needed including technology/system product training.

Hiring Salary Range: $72895k - $92168k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicants education experience knowledge skills and abilities geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
