Materials Scientist | EAG Laboratories

EAG has an exciting opportunity for a Materials Scientist to join the dynamic Dual Beam Analysis team.

Primary function includes TEM sample preparation of lamella for imaging of client samples using Dual Beam FIB tools. The successful candidate will work as a part of a team and be expected to rapidly gain a working knowledge of many analytical techniques.

Work Schedule: 5pm-2am Tuesdays to Saturdays

Qualifications :

• MS or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with FIB-SEM operation 
• Expert with SEM/EDX EBSD or TEM sample preparation
• Solid understanding of electron microscopy semiconductor device physics and failure analysis
• In depth knowledge of electron microscopy

What would set you apart:

• Fluent in Korean - verbal and written communication skills
• US Citizen US Permanent Resident or Political Asylee/Refugee as defined by ITAR (to work with clients that deal with defense-related activities)
• Excellent communication skills (written/presentation) with clients and internal teams

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or laboratory to access file cabinets machinery equipment etc.
• Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment use a telephone access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels including overhead.   
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. 
• Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance over the telephone and in a group setting.
• Learn new tasks remember processes maintain focus complete tasks independently make timely decisions in the context of a workflow ability to communicate with visitors ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Additional Information :

*Compensation Range: $110000 - $125000 base salary. (Salary is commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise. *Additional evening shift differential will apply.)
