We are seeking a Remote Data Scientist who will leverage advanced analytics statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to provide actionable insights that directly impact our restaurant operations customer satisfaction and overall business performance.
Position Overview
The Data Scientist will collaborate with multiple teamsincluding operations marketing finance and executive leadershipto analyze complex datasets identify key business trends and support data-informed decision-making. This individual will be responsible for developing predictive models optimizing restaurant operations and creating performance dashboards to improve efficiency revenue and guest satisfaction.
This is a remote position but the candidate must reside in the United States and hold a valid government-issued ID for verification and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Collect clean and structure large datasets from internal systems (POS CRM inventory HR reservations digital marketing etc.).
Apply statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns and predict outcomes such as customer behavior menu performance and operational efficiency.
Develop models for demand forecasting pricing strategies and workforce optimization.
Build dashboards and visualization tools to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Partner with marketing to optimize customer acquisition loyalty and retention strategies through data-driven recommendations.
Work with operations to identify efficiency opportunities in supply chain management staffing and inventory planning.
Present findings and actionable insights to senior management to influence strategic decisions.
Continuously monitor model performance and update methodologies as needed.
Ensure all data-handling practices comply with privacy security and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Must currently reside in the United States.
Must have a valid U.S. government-issued ID.
Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or related field.
2 years of experience in data science analytics or related roles.
Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or R.
Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn TensorFlow PyTorch).
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI or similar).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain technical results to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
Masters degree in Data Science Statistics or related discipline.
Experience in hospitality restaurant or retail industries.
Familiarity with POS and CRM data analysis.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
