As a Solutions Architect you will partner with customers sales and several other teams to craft highly flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of collaboration with sales you will help drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. As a trusted customer advocate you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced-based solutions. You will seek out opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broaden the use of the platform across customer organizations. You will utilize your ability to think strategically about business products and technical challenges.

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy recruiting development and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
Key job responsibilities
Role Responsibilities
Build deep relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for their most critical workloads that support their digital transformation and journey to the cloud
Support achievement of revenue objectives through the adoption and migration of applications software and services onto the platform in partnership with the sales team
Educate customers on the value proposition of cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment
Contribute to internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge
Act as a liaison between customers service engineering teams and support to address customer needs
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 6 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients.
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server load balancing HA/DR & storage architectures

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
