The client operates under a long-standing leadership team with internal systems that have been refined over a decade of streamlined bookkeeping operations. This ensures clear processes a supportive client-VA dynamic and minimal onboarding ramp time.
Role Overview
Seeking a dependable and detail-focused Xero Bookkeeper (VA) to handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. This permanent part-time role offers approximately 20 hours per week providing consistency and flexibility for both parties. The successful candidate will work during regular business hours ensuring timely and accurate financial record keeping.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general bookkeeping tasks using Xero: recording transactions reconciling accounts maintaining ledgers.
Manage accounts payable and receivable: process invoices payments and credit notes.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements against Xero entries.
Generate periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly) for internal tracking.
Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
Communicate effectively with the client regarding transaction discrepancies or required documentation.
Ensure timely posting and completeness of financial data.
Qualifications & Requirements
At least 2 years of similar experience as Virtual Assistant or Bookkeeper using cloud-based platforms is highly desirable.
Proficient in Xero bookkeeping software.
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and accrual accounting processes.
Excellent attention to detail with clear and timely communication skills.
Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely during standard business hours.
Able to consistently dedicate 20 hours per week ideally within the day-shift window.
