Equipped with smart sensors remote monitoring and AI-driven control systems their grids are designed for efficiency and resilience in both on-grid and off-grid settings. They are rapidly scaling; the business is set to power more than 10000 individuals create local jobs and avoid significant CO emissions.
The Project Feasibility Studies Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating and assessing potential hydropower project sites. This includes managing feasibility analyses design processes and cost evaluations for new hydropower generation projects. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external experts to ensure technical economic and environmental viability of proposed sites. The Coordinator will also oversee compliance with regulations budget preparation and overall project planning.
Site Evaluation
Oversee assessments of potential hydropower sites including topographic mapping flow measurements power calculations and cost estimates.
Feasibility & Design
Lead feasibility studies incorporating topographic geological hydrological hydraulic civil design and electromechanical aspects. Coordinate external experts as needed.
Economic Feasibility Analysis
Conduct financial analyses including cost-benefit studies financial modelling IRR and NPV assessments.
Project Planning
Develop detailed plans considering water flow turbine efficiency power generation capacity and design optimisation.
Collaboration with Experts
Work with geologists environmental scientists and engineers to ensure safe efficient and comprehensive project designs.
Licensing & Permits
Assist in securing approvals from relevant authorities and support environmental and social impact assessments.
Budget Management
Prepare detailed cost estimates budgets and project cash flows for civil works and hydro-mechanical installations.
Strong expertise in hydropower site evaluation and data interpretation.
Experience with drones for mapping and measurement.
Proficiency in technical financial and environmental feasibility analysis.
Solid background in financial modelling cost-benefit analysis IRR and NPV calculations.
Knowledge of permitting processes environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
Strong collaboration and team management abilities.
High attention to detail with capacity to produce accurate reports and documentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or a related field.
3 5 years of experience in feasibility studies and project planning for hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Hands-on experience in topographic geological hydrological and civil design aspects of hydropower projects.
Proficiency in financial modelling and feasibility studies (IRR and NPV analysis).
Experience in managing permitting and environmental compliance with regulatory agencies.
