Job Description:
Take end-to-end ownership of mechanical design and development for critical systems
Engineer and integrate complex components including robotics structural elements and high-load motion assemblies
Lead technical decision-making from concept through to commissioning
Develop test plans oversee prototyping and participate hands-on in validation and site deployment
Ensure systems meet rigorous safety performance and industry compliance standards
Mentor and guide a high-performing team of engineers helping shape a culture of innovation and excellence
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical design within mining heavy machinery or large-scale infrastructure environments
Proven track record working with large complex mechanical systems and assemblies
Solid understanding of robotics industrial automation and large-scale manufacturing processes
Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools such as SolidWorks Inventor or ANSYS
Strong leadership project management and cross-disciplinary communication skills
Qualification:
BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering Masters degree preferred
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
