Job Description
This position provides classroom and on-the-road driving support for students of the Truck Driving Program. The Truck Driving Assistant reinforces learning material and skills introduced by the instructor assists the instructor with on-the-road driving supervision of student drivers and helps students prepare for the commercial drivers license and road test.
Salary Range
$21.57 - $29.24

Minimum Qualifications
Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in Truck Driving - OR- relevant licensure in Truck Driving AND One year of teaching /tutoring experience in Truck Driving at the high school level or above - OR - 4 years of work experience in Truck Driving where no degree / certificate / diploma / licensure is required- OR - An equivalent combination of education and work experience
Valid Class A commercial drivers license (CDL)
Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical health card
Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening.
Preferred Qualification
Effective communication skills including the ability to sufficiently explain and assist students with successful completion of the truck driving program.
Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish Karen Karenni Somali Pohnpeian French Nuer Anuak or other languages that reflect our student body workforce and communities.
Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
