The Collections Manager will oversee and manage the end-to-end collections process for loan accounts ensuring timely recovery of dues minimizing delinquency and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This role requires strategic planning team management and close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective collection strategies for various loan products.
Monitor and review loan portfolios to identify risk and default trends.
Lead a team of collection executives and agencies to maximize recovery.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies during recovery efforts.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activity communication and legal proceedings.
Negotiate repayment plans or settlements with delinquent borrowers.
Analyze collection data and present regular performance reports to leadership.
Liaise with legal teams on escalated cases requiring litigation or arbitration.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3 5 years of relevant experience in collections preferably in NBFC or financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial products regulatory norms and recovery procedures.
- Excellent leadership negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and collection software/tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive targets
