4 North is a 33-bed unit at Butterworth Hospital specializing in orthopedic trauma and burn care. Our team works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of professionals including nursing physicians APPs rehab therapists and care managers to provide high quality comprehensive care to our patients. Common diagnoses for our patient population include polytrauma gunshot wounds falls motor vehicle accidents burns and orthopedic complications as a result of a traumatic injury. Our team is focused on creating an inclusive and encouraging culture that aims to meet people where they are supports them in continuous learning challenges them to grow in their practice and celebrates individual and collective accomplishments. Scope of work
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological psychological sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking vitals checking blood sugars bed bathing ambulating wound care catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that the required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications
Hight School Diploma or equivalent Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
