What youll do
- Manage the annual operating plan for plant expenses and capital expenditures conducting variance analysis and reforecasting throughout the year.
- Oversee product cost standard setting daily product costing and monthly cost center spending and inventory analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP through effective management of journal entries account reconciliations and timely financial reporting including month-end year-end and ad-hoc reports.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and customer service while developing KPIs and leveraging advanced data analytics to drive decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Facilitate clear communication with internal departments and external partners manage special projects and collaborate with cross-functional Directors to ensure robust support from the manufacturing accounting staff.
- Support the implementation of accounting policies train plant accounting personnel and enhance internal controls in cooperation with the Internal Audit department.
- Maintain secure control of accounting documentation and review staffing levels to ensure optimal resource allocation for achieving organizational objectives.
What youll need...
- Bachelors degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance
- Ten (10) years of experience in accounting or finance
- Eight (8) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with plant managers and other business partners with an emphasis on cost analysis
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience required with strong leadership and management skills
- Demonstrated experience providing financial consultation to manufacturing operations
- Experience in assisting with development of financial justifications for capital expenditures and performance improvement projects
- Experience with query reporting and data analysis tools
- Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g. formulas such as V-lookup graphs pivot tables)
