About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Network & Telecom Manager the Senior Network Analyst plays a critical role in delivering Tier 3 support for complex network issues that exceed the capabilities of our service providers. This position is responsible for leading new site implementations executing advanced network upgrades supporting site divestitures and maintaining the integrity of our 2-way radio backbone network.

In addition to operational responsibilities the role contributes to network architecture design and strategic planning ensuring solutions are scalable secure and aligned with business objectives. The Senior Network Analyst will work closely with Enterprise Architects cross-functional IT teams and Field Business Units in a dynamic fast-paced environment that values innovation collaboration and continuous improvement.

What youll do:

  • Provide Tier 3 support and advanced troubleshooting across all areas of the internal corporate network ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Design evaluate and implement scalable network architectures that align with business and security requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teamsincluding Infrastructure Cloud and Application Servicesto support technology evaluations resolve complex issues and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Partner regularly with IT Security Operations Cybersecurity and Change/Incident Management teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations.

  • Deliver expert-level network support to both Calgary-based and field IT teams maintaining consistent service quality across diverse environments.

  • Apply high-level logical thinking and problem-solving skills both independently and as a key contributor within larger project teams.

  • Mentor and coach junior team members fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Lead and manage multiple network initiatives simultaneously from planning through execution ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

  • Contribute to network strategy and roadmap development including capacity planning technology refresh cycles and future-state architecture.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA CCNP or CCIE are considered strong assets.

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience ideally within the Oil & Gas sector or similarly complex enterprise environments.

  • Deep technical expertise in core networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP MPLS EIGRP BGP SNMP and DHCP.

  • Familiarity with ITIL-based processes and frameworks for service management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for network diagramming and Microsoft 365 tools for collaboration and documentation.
