The Program Initiatives (PI) team at Ontario Health leads large-scale complex projects aimed at improving the healthcare system. These projects focus on enhancing quality access capacity and measurement often requiring significant change management. The team develops and implements new models of care to optimize the use of health human resources care settings and technology.
Senior Analyst Role:The Senior Analyst plays a significant role in modernizing cancer screening programs in Ontario. This role involves developing complex analyses communications and project deliverables. Strong project management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. The Senior Analyst must have excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Here is what you will be doing:
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:Maintain detailed knowledge of data to support quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.
Project Management:Develop and maintain project plans ensure timely completion of deliverables and manage project risks.
Knowledge Sharing:Facilitate knowledge transfer across internal teams and provide coaching to junior team members.
Collaboration:Work with staff from across Cancer Screening and Ontario Health on cross-functional projects.
Communication:Develop and present materials using excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-Solving:Identify and recommend solutions to complex problems.
Stakeholder Engagement:Consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project deliverables.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences Health Administration Health Informatics or related field
Masters degree in in one of the above disciplines is an asset
Certificate in project management (CAPM or PMP) is an asset
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with 3 years in an analyst capacity
Experience working on projects is required
Experience in a health care setting is strongly preferred
Experience conducting analysis in a project or operational setting
Knowledge and Skills
Experience with leading complex work packages or workstreams of large-scale projects using project management methodologies and tools
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a hands-on manner
Ability to anticipate prioritize and effectively respond to issues as they arise
Superior ability to analyze and define problems and risks evaluate alternatives and options find solutions and mitigation strategies and make recommendations for action
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and communication skills including the ability to present complex information and facilitate cross-functional working group discussions
Strong relationship-building skills with demonstrated experience engaging and building relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders
Detail-oriented with excellent organization and time management skills
Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
Ability to work in an environment with competing priorities
Willing to take on stretch opportunities like leading a working group on an interim basis
Flexible adaptable and comfortable with some ambiguity in work
Strong computer skills including the MS Office suite; knowledge of MS Project is an asset
