The Change Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful adoption of new processes and initiatives within the Stellenbosch University IT Division. This position will require the application of structured methodologies and collaboration with various stakeholders to drive change management activities across IT projects and initiatives.

Die IT-afdeling is die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US) se strategiese vennoot op die reis van digitale transformasie. Ons lewer uitsonderlike digitaal-verrykte ervarings aan ons belanghebbendes deur middel van samewerking met interne en eksterne vennote. Dit doen ons deur die doeltreffendheid en effektiwiteit van operasionele aktiwiteite en kampusfasiliteite te verbeter die transformerende studentervaring te versterk onderrig-leer-assessering te verryk en studentesukses te bevorder navorsingsaktiwiteite en -prosesse te ondersteun en sosiale impak-inisiatiewe moontlik te maak.
Die Veranderingsbestuurder sal n sleutelrol speel in die suksesvolle aanneming van nuwe prosesse en inisiatiewe binne die IT-afdeling van die Universiteit Stellenbosch. Hierdie pos vereis die gebruik van gestruktureerde metodologie en noue samewerking met verskeie belanghebbendes om veranderingsbestuursaktiwiteite oor IT-projekte en -inisiatiewe heen te dryf.
Duties/Pligte
Utilising established change management frameworks methodologies and tools to develop tailored strategies that facilitate the smooth adoption of changes.
Designing implementing and managing key communication plans ensuring that stakeholders are informed and engaged via appropriate channels.
Conducting detailed analyses to evaluate the impact of change assess the readiness of the institution and identify key stakeholders.
Collaborating on the design and delivery of training initiatives ensuring alignment with project objectives operational and institutional needs.
Identifying and developing risk mitigation strategies.
Addressing anticipated and persistent resistance with targeted interventions.
Providing guidance and coaching to diverse teams.
Developing and delivering core plans including sponsor plans people manager plans communication plans and training plans.
Implementing supplementary plans as required such as resistance management plans.
Engaging and supporting senior leaders and coach line managers.
Collaborating on organisational design and clarifying roles and responsibilities.
Ensuring seamless integration of IT change management activities into broader project plans.
Evaluating user readiness and monitoring change progress.
Establishing metrics to define and measure success and tracking overall change adoption.
Providing IT change management support at the institutional level by managing the IT change management portfolio.
Supporting governance by aligning change initiatives with the Universitys policies and strategic goals.
Gebruik gevestigde raamwerke metodologie en hulpmiddels vir veranderingsbestuur om pasgemaakte strategie te ontwikkel wat die gladde aanvaarding van veranderinge vergemaklik.

Ontwikkel en lewer kernplanne insluitend borgplanne personeelbestuurderplanne kommunikasieplanne en opleidingsplanne.
Implementeer aanvullende planne soos benodig soos weerstandsbestuursplanne.
Betrek en ondersteun senior leiers en mentor lynbestuurders.
Werk saam aan organisasieontwerp en verduidelik rolle en verantwoordelikhede.
Verseker die naatlose integrasie van IT-veranderingsbestuursaktiwiteite in brer projekplanne.
Evalueer gebruikersgereedheid en monitor die vordering van verandering.
Stel metrieke op om sukses te definieer en te meet en hou die algehele aanvaarding van verandering dop.
Verskaf ondersteuning vir IT-verandebestuur op institusionele vlak deur die IT-verandebestuursportefeulje te bestuur.
Ondersteun bestuur en beheer deur veranderingsinisiatiewe met Universiteitsbeleide en strategiese doelwitte te belyn.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
At least an NQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant field.
Change Management certification.
At least three years experience in change management (using ADKAR Kotters 8-step model Lewin or similar change management methodologies) in IT projects in higher education institutions.
Expertise in change management principles methodologies and tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with active listening skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and guide diverse audiences toward common goals.
Experience of working in an IT environment or driving change management of IT-relevant projects.
Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA SmartSheets MS Project or similar).
Strong skills in workshop facilitation user training and executive briefings.
Familiarity with project management frameworks and the phases of the project lifecycle.
Experience with managing large-scale organisational change.
Resilient and adaptable with a forward-looking strategic mindset.
Highly organised with a focus on planning and execution.
Proven ability to collaborate at all levels of an organisation.
Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Minstens n NKR Vlak 6-kwalifikasie in n toepaslike veld.
Sertifisering in Veranderingsbestuur.
Minstens drie jaar se ervaring in veranderingsbestuur (met gebruik van ADKAR Kotter se 8-stap-model Lewin of soortgelyke veranderingsbestuursmetodologie) in IT-projekte in horonderwysinstellings.
Kundigheid in veranderingsbestuursbeginsels -metodologie en -hulpmiddels.
