Taking advantage of being in the ecosystem of Vingroup with a number of technology and service-oriented companies such as Vinpearl Vinhomes VinFast VinAI VinBigdata VinBrain etc. the College will cooperate closely with these companies in research to create breakthrough technology & healthcare products and solutions.

As a strategic partner Vinmec Healthcare System the leading private not-for-profit health care provider in Vietnam which currently encompasses 7 hospitals and 4 outpatient clinics throughout Vietnam (with more than 1600 beds) together with its medical research institutes and centers. Vinmec is the only healthcare provider in Vietnam offering 2 hospitals with Joint-Commission International (JCI) accreditation (in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city). The Vinmec Times City in Hanoi is our primary teaching hospital for the College of Health Sciences. It received the first JCI accreditation in 2015 the re-accreditation in 2018 and is currently the only teaching hospital in Vietnam with JCI recognition.

Currently the College offers undergraduate degree programs in Nursing and Medicine while there are three residency programs offered i.e. in Internal Medicine Surgery and Pediatrics. All of the health sciences programs are competency-based developed with the University of Pennsylvanias technical support. With UPenns certified and validated curricula world-class international and Vietnamese faculty members modern pedagogical approaches and infrastructure at the forefront of technology we will prepare our students to become healthcare leaders innovators and scientists with an entrepreneurial mindset and as prospective agents of change in the future.

THE OPPORTUNITY

VinUniversity is seeking a motivated and experienced Academic Assistant to join the College of Health Sciences. As an Academic Assistant you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster and enhance relationships with external stakeholders including industry partners government agencies non-profit organizations and other academic institutions. Your primary objective will be to promote collaboration build networks and establish mutually beneficial partnerships that align with the Colleges goals and mission.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership Development:

• Under the leadership of CHS leaders work diretly with stakeholders to develop partnerships that support the Colleges vision and mission.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders government agencies non-profit organizations and academic institutions to facilitate collaborative projects research initiatives and exchange programs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders providing timely and professional communication to foster positive relationships.
• Organize and facilitate meetings conferences and events to promote dialogue and collaboration between the College and external partners.
• Proactively seek opportunities to engage with stakeholders attending industry conferences seminars and workshops to stay informed about trends and advancements.

Penn Contract Management:

• Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions outlined in the partnership agreement.
• Facilitate regular communication and coordination between the two institutions including organizing meetings conference calls and site visits.
• Collaborate with finance and administrative teams to track expenditures and prepare budget proposals.

Marketing and Communication:

• Collaborate with Marcom Department to develop and implement effective marketing and communication strategies to promote the Colleges achievements initiatives and outcomes to the stakeholders.

Others:

• Develop and manage the annual external engagement plan and budget of CHS.
• Maintain good record keeping and data filing. Ensure accurate and timely update of database. Prepare reports and presentations from time to time.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications:

• A bachelors degree in a relevant field is required. A masters degree or higher is preferred.
• 5 year working experience in external engagement partnership development or a related field preferably within the education healthcare or research sectors.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required

• Strong network of contacts and relationships with key stakeholders in the industry government academia and non-profit organizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex partnerships and agreements.
• Experience in fundraising grant writing or securing sponsorships is desirable.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Advanced skills with software applications including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint as well as other Program Management and database tools.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry and current trends in health sciences is advantageous.
