Job Description
Process/Manufacturing- Partner closely with Ops and Engineering teams during all phases of development and product introduction- Work closely with suppliers to provide support and technical & manufacturing direction to guarantee their ability to meet Apple design process test and quality requirement - Drive manufacturing test and assembly process related technical and operational issues to ensure issue closure- Drive design on all equipment/fixtures/tools requirements along with assessment of the robustness of solution to meet operation requirements and implementation of any additional solutions to mitigate any risks- New product OK2XX process review and approval- Technical and Quality assessment of issue and drive FACA with the vendorsQUALITY/ANALYSIS- Apply solid understanding of quality control and manufacturing concepts to develop specific Product Quality Plan (PQP) appropriate to program.- Act as project manager to Coordinate all Quality functions is being in place at vendor sites.- Actively participate in program planning and monitoring process and assuming responsibility for key quality deliverables at all milestones.- Provide technical direction and guidance to vendor Quality Engineers to ensure the implementation of the PQP is in place and executed.- Assist to establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure adherence to Apple quality are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. - Bachelor degree and above with 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing process development and quality role supporting high volume manufacturing.
- Fluent written and oral English communication and fluent oral Chinese language is a plus
- Familiarity with MSA GD&T practices Metrology DFMEA and tolerance analysis is a plus.
- Familiar with design of experiment tool and experienced in driving FACA and statistic data analysis required.
- Excellent product management skill and have direct experience in manufacturing process design review and buy off
- Battery pack or cell manufacturing experience is a plus
- Soft skills i.e. leadership project management communication teamwork influencing and self-motivated
- Knowledge of AI/ML is a plus
- Periodic travel required.
