Client is a locally owned and operated small animal veterinary hospital located in Vienna VA. We have been operating since 1975! We are dedicated to providing high-quality compassionate veterinary care for pets in the community.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinary Technician or Sugical Assistant located in Vienna VA. Daily tasks include supporting veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures maintaining medical records and ensuring the comfort and safety of animals during their stay. You will be reponsible for all pre-operative and post-operative care medication administration catheter placement assisting in procedures and surgery collecting samples scaling polishing and probing during dentals taking dental radiographs monitoring patients under anesthesia and adjusting anesthesia.
Qualifications
- Experience assisting the DVM in surgery
- Previous experience with dental prophys and dental radiographs preferred
- Client Education skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Previous experience with IV catheter placement IM injections and anesthesia monitoring is required
- Associates degree or certification in Veterinary Technology is highly desirable but not required

Mon-Fri AM and Mid shift
Rotating Saturdays
$25-34/hr (higher salary for credentialed applicants)
