Job Summary:
This role is for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a long-term care facility. The LVN/LPN will provide nursing care to patients under the direction of an RN focusing on patient assessments medication administration and treatment planning. Previous travel experience is required. The position involves a variable 4x12-hour shift schedule either days or nights with guaranteed hours and the possibility of floating to meet facility needs. A company vehicle will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct nursing care to patients in a long-term care setting.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Completing patient assessments and documenting findings.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license in Alaska.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care.
- Ability to work a variable 4x12-hour shift schedule (days or nights).
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance (for company vehicle use).
- Personal vehicle insurance policy must include rental car coverage.

Special Considerations:
- Previous travel experience is required.
- On-call is not required.
- Shifts are either days or nights dependent on facility needs. Caregivers are not typically asked to rotate between day and night shifts.
- Floating to other units within the facility is required.
- A company vehicle will be provided for use within a 30-mile radius of the facility.
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Time off is approved on an individual basis.
- Guaranteed hours are 60 per two weeks. The traveler can be called off for one 12-hour shift per two weeks.

- Variable 4x12-hour shifts (days or nights).
- Shift assignment depends on facility needs.
- Guaranteed 60 hours per two weeks.
