The Public Health Project Manager is responsible for managing one or more public health projects and communications for National Nurse-Led Care Consortium. These projects are funded by various funding sources including federal and state grants and private corporations. The Manager acts as the direct liaison with the funding agencies and is responsible for the day to day activities of the program and all reporting responsibilities. The manager will support NNCC communications strategies including social media accounts newsletter and email communications copy editing and updating the NNCC and PA NWC websites. The position is located in Philadelphia but may be local regional or national in scope. The Public Health Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Workforce Development
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for all reporting related to individual grant requirements and establish program policies and procedures. Will also create and manage service provider contracts to ensure deliverables are met. This position also manages project budgets supports communications and may supervise one or more staff AmeriCorps member(s) and/or intern(s).
1. Project Oversight:
a) Oversee workforce development programs including day-to-day operations and compliance with project deliverables.
b) Monitor project expenditures and budgets with support of supervisor.
c) Communicate regularly with program operating sites interns and workforce trainees.
d) Support creation of web-based professional development opportunities for workforce trainees.
e) Recruit applicants for workforce programs for open positions and onboard as needed.
f) Support submission of proposals and grants to further workforce development programming.
g) Create and manage service provider contracts.
h) Support NNCC and PA Nursing Workforce Coalition communications.
i) Design communications campaigns around projects and initiatives.
j) Manage social media accounts and integrations.
k) Oversee activities and communications for the Podcast.
l) Maintain and manage website content in collaboration with NNCC communications.
m) Draft letters press releases newsletters and other materials.
n) Manage contracts and tasks tracking/task management.
2. Staff Oversight:
Public Health Project Coordinator AmeriCorps Member and/or Intern.
b. Manage and support members in workforce development programs.
3. Strategic Partnership Development:
a. Work with supervisors on workforce development programs.
b. Support recruitment of new placement sites through internal and external partner communications. Convene quarterly meetings with partners and develop agendas.
c. Support professional development opportunities through seeking and developing partnerships with consultants.
d. Support communications for the organization with NNCC Manager of Public Relations.
SKILLS:
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to express yourself concisely and clearly.
Experience with Project Management tools like Smartsheet.
Experience developing training and educational materials to present to a large audience.
Familiarity with preventive public health initiatives and social determinants of health.
Confidence to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively on a team including internal and external partners.
EXPERIENCE:
At least two years of experience in development program management for public health field.
Very strong organizational and managerial skills including the ability to: prioritize work projects execute multiple important tasks support management of program budgets supervise staff manage time effectively and communicate clearly with supervisors.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Publisher).
Experience with webinar and/or virtual meeting hosting and management.
