Job Title: Tube Laser Cutting Machine Operator

Job Summary: The Tube Laser Cutting Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up operating and maintaining advanced laser cutting machinery used to fabricate precision components for products including scaffolding systems formwork accessories and renewable energy structures. The role requires deep technical understanding of fabrication processes quality control parameters and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
Machine Setup & Operation
Independently set up tube laser cutting machines as per production drawings.
Operate machines to cut steel pipes tubes and custom profiles (Round Square Rectangular).
Adjust laser power speed focal point and assist gases (O N ) for optimal cutting.
Technical Precision & Quality
Interpret complex engineering drawings and nesting programs.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and burr-free cuts on components like:
Diamond Grip Walkway Planks
Cuplock Vertical Standards
Toe Boards Toe Guards Kick Plates
Ladder Profiles and Beam Bracket Sections
Tooling & Maintenance
Conduct routine machine maintenance and calibrations.
Replace worn-out consumables (nozzles lenses filters) to maintain output quality.
Collaborate with maintenance team for preventive upkeep.
Inventory & Documentation
Maintain logs for production output machine downtime and quality issues.
Report material usage for job orders including pipe sizes thickness and grade (MS SS GI Aluminium).
Product Line Integration
Work collaboratively with design and fabrication teams for:
Scaffolding Systems (Cuplock Ringlock)
Structural Beams and Brackets
Renewable Energy Parts (Solar & Wind Components)
Formwork Accessories
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols related to laser machinery (shielding PPE eye protection).
Ensure compliance with company standards ISO 9001:2015 and lean manufacturing practices.
Required Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of tube laser cutting operations (Trumpf BLM Bodor or equivalent).
Ability to work with mild steel stainless steel galvanized iron and aluminium.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings & nesting files (DXF DWG).
Knowledge of scaffolding and formwork component design and fabrication is preferred.
Understanding of quality standards like tolerance checks roughness and squareness.
Educational Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Fabrication or Production Engineering.
Minimum 3 5 years experience in tube laser cutting in an engineering manufacturing environment.
