RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Qubec - Sant (FRQS).

Position summary
Under the supervision of the Communications Officer in the Department of Medicine the incumbent will be responsible for updating and optimizing the Department of Medicine website and its divisional pages. This mandate includes creating and editing profiles coordinating and carrying out translations and ensuring compliance with accessibility and branding standards. The incumbent will collaborate with divisions research teams and administrative staff to gather validate and publish accurate and relevant content. They will also contribute to communications tasks such as drafting news stories updating events and supporting newsletter production.
General Duties
Update and maintain the Department of Medicine website and its divisional pages
Create review and publish member profiles ensuring information is accurate and consistent
Coordinate and carry out translation of content to ensure linguistic quality and alignment with editorial style
Use the web content management system to perform required changes and updates
Ensure content meets accessibility formatting and branding standards
Collaborate with divisions research teams and administrative staff to gather validate and publish relevant content
Write and update news and events on the website
Support the preparation and distribution of the Department of Medicine newsletter
Maintain clear documentation on content update and editing processes
Perform any other related tasks connected to communications and web content management.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
Meet established deadlines for updating and publishing web content.
Maintain a high level of linguistic and technical accuracy in all updates and translations.
Ensure visual and editorial consistency across the website and related communications.
Collaborate proactively and professionally with all stakeholders.
Clearly document processes to support knowledge transfer and continuity of work.
Excellent command of French and English spoken and written.
Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and ease with digital platforms.
Ability to quickly learn to use a new content management system (CMS).
Status: Temporary (4-month contract) Part-time (28 hours per week)
Pay Scale: $30.60/hour. Commensurate with education & work experience.
Work Shift: Variable Schedule. Monday to Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Work Site: GLEN Site 1001 boul. Decarie
