Job Description

INTERNAL HIRE - High SchoolMath Teacher - GOLD Academy

Location:Clinton High School Clinton Oklahoma

Reports To:Casey Perez Director

Job Summary:

Clinton Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and qualifiedMath Teacher to join ourGOLD Academy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and rigorous instruction inAlebra I Algebra II and Geometry to students in grades 9-12 fostering a deep understanding of mathematics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about math possess strong classroom management skills and be dedicated to student success within a diverse learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum that align with Oklahoma Academic Standards for Math.
  • Deliver effective instruction utilizing a variety of teaching methods resources and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student learning regularly through various methods (e.g. quizzes tests projects essays) and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues administrators and parents to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Utilize data to inform instruction and differentiate learning for all students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records including grades and attendance.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
  • Adhere to all Clinton Public Schools policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in MathMath Education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Oklahoma teaching certification inMath for High School Credit
  • Demonstrated knowledge ofMath content.
  • Experience teaching at the high school levelpreferred.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and willingness to integrate it into instruction.
  • Commitment to fostering critical thinking analysis and effectivecontent area writing skills in students.
