If youre looking for a dedicated employer that is very successful continuously growing and working very hard to be a top-quality employer within the community then we welcome you to join our team The Operations Manager position is responsible to assist the warehouse manager by managing and coordinating the activities of all company warehouses warehouse personnel and shipping /receiving functions in a consistent and professional manner. This includes all warehouse operations including the identification and communication of department goals and teamwork in addition to various professional development aspects such as maintaining and promoting a positive workplace environment employee morale staff training and development and promoting/enforcing safety rules and regulations to maintain a positive workplace safety culture.

Essential Functions

  • The Operations Managers primary duty is to assist the Warehouse Manager with the complete leadership of the department. The manager customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent. The employee has the authority to hire or fire other employees or the employees suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring firing advancement promotion or any other change of status of other employees. (This position meets the FLSA requirements for salaried exempt status.)
  • Assist in the directing all warehouse functions at Womelsdorf plant.
  • Determine work procedures prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
  • Issue written and oral instructions.
  • Assist in assigning duties and examine work for accuracy neatness and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances consistently promoting professional conduct.
  • The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with and being actively engaged in personnel matters such as recruiting/hiring employee reviews employee counseling corrective actions and record-keeping. The employee actively participates and promotes the companys training and professional development efforts.
  • Confer with other management staff outside of the warehouse to ensure coordination of other functions such as production inventory management quality assurance maintenance safety & human resources.
  • Identify employee skills and development by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive & negative performance.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Department to ensure proper documentation and resolution of matters regarding employee performance review and disciplinary action.
  • Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures including the promotion and enforcement of safety rules and regulations maintaining a consistent and positive workplace safety culture.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: From $22.50 per hour plus shift differential

    Experience:

    Warehouse Leadership experience: 1 year (Preferred)
