Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Sales Representative Customs Brokerage & Freight Forwarding you will lead new business development efforts across the Greater Vancouver Area targeting companies that import and export goods across North America and globally. You will focus on building relationships with logistics managers supply chain coordinators and business owners offering tailored freight forwarding and customs clearance solutions. This hybrid role is ideal for a self-directed experienced sales professional who understands cross-border logistics and thrives in a fast-paced relationship-driven environment. Compensation includes a base salary of $70000 to $90000 with OTE between $100000 and $120000 in the first year.

As they prepare to expand operations nationally theyre looking for a dedicated sales partner whos excited to grow with them.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

  • Hybrid: 1 day/week in-office (Vancouver BC)
  • Sales territory: Greater Vancouver Area (GTA)

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-10 years of B2B sales experience in logistics transportation or supply chain industries
  • 2 years experiences with customs brokerage and/or freight forwarding highly preferred
  • Experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses across varied sectors
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Confident working independently and managing your own pipeline
  • Comfortable with CRM systems Google Workspace and basic quoting tools
  • Highly motivated goal-oriented and accountable

Their solutions streamline the import/export process for Canadian businesses helping clients avoid costly delays and ensuring their goods move quickly and efficiently. With a deep understanding of evolving trade regulations they act as trusted advisors in a high-stakes detail-oriented space.

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION MAKER(S):

  • Small to Mid-Sized Businesses
  • Importers & Exporters (manufacturing food & beverage retail e-commerce etc.)
  • Operations Managers Logistics Coordinators Supply Chain Leads Business Owners
  • Geographic Focus: Greater Toronto Area (initially) expanding nationally

SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:

  • Sales Cycle: 13 months
  • Typical Monthly Revenue per Client: $2000 $10000

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

  • Drive new business development through outbound prospecting and lead follow-up
  • Conduct discovery calls and meetings (phone Zoom and in-person)
  • Collaborate with internal operations to prepare accurate quotes and onboarding documentation
  • Guide prospects through the benefits of switching providers or integrating new services
  • Manage CRM updates follow-ups and proposal tracking
  • Build strong ongoing client relationships to support retention and upselling
  • Stay up to date on industry trends regulatory changes and client pain points

LEADS:

  • 30% Warm Inbound or Referral-Based
  • 20% Pre-Qualified Target Lists
  • 50% Self-Sourced via Prospecting & Outreach (email LinkedIn networking)

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

  • 1-week onboarding with founder and senior operations team
  • Access to quoting templates CRM and reference materials
  • Ongoing sales strategy support and coaching
  • Regular pipeline check-ins and mentorship
