AbilityPath is hiring for a Play & Learn Program Coordinator!

The Play & Learn Program Coordinator leads weekly parent-child play groups at San Mateo County Libraries building meaningful connections with families while promoting child development through play. This position supports curriculum development program expansion parent engagement and coordination with community partners.

This is a Part time (25 hours a week) position and candidates are required to be Bilingual in English/Spanish or another high-frequency Bay Area language.

Compensation: $30-31/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Play & Learn Program Coordinator you will:

  • Co-develop and deliver Play & Learn parent-child curriculum

  • Co-facilitate weekly play groups at four San Mateo County library locations (with program growth planned)

  • Engage with parents to build trusting relationships and encourage participation in developmental screenings

  • Support Parent Liaisons through training mentoring and leadership development

  • Manage logistics for play groups including supplies setup/cleanup and program evaluation

  • Enter program data into collection systems and maintain records for reporting

  • Promote Play & Learn in the community to ensure strong participation

  • Collaborate with libraries community partners and colleagues to strengthen programming

  • Participate in weekly team meetings reflective practice and professional development

  • Represent AbilityPath and Help Me Grow at community events outreach fairs and partner meetings

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree required in early child development education psychology social work or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children birth through age five and their families

  • Experience developing and facilitating parent-child group programs

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (or another high-frequency Bay Area language)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid California Drivers License/ID

  • Clean driving record (if applicable)

  • Proof of negative TB test results

  • Verification of physical clearance

  • Passing criminal fingerprint clearance

  • Minimum 18 years of age or job permit clearance

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
