WORK ILLUSTRATION:
The Campus Program Recruitment Coordinator reports to the Manager HR Business Services and is responsible executing the organizations co-op hiring program to attract and engage top student this role you will collaborate closely with internal business units cultivate strong partnerships with post-secondary institutions lead campus recruitment activities and champion a positive candidate experience that reflects with Toronto Hydros purpose and strategic pillars.
The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct policies and internal control procedures laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.
Successful candidates must possess the following competencies and will be pre-screened for those bolded prior to the interview portion of the selection process. Competencies are listed in order of significance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with internal business units to forecast plan develop and consolidate co-op/student requirements for each planned term (January May and September) including advance hiring for Professional Experience Year (PEY).
- Manages end-to-end recruitment processincluding the preparation of selection materials review of postings interview scheduling offer management background screening onboarding and offboarding providing exceptional talent experience for candidates throughout each stage of the recruitment process.
- Leads the planning and execution of student engagement initiatives representing Toronto Hydro at campus events career fairs and other networking opportunities to promote our brand and attract top student talent.
- Develops and maintains strong partnerships with post-secondary institutions.
- Makes recommendations to advance and align planning to optimize program results to select qualified and diverse candidates to fill open co-op/student roles.
- Oversees and maintains all departmental reporting related to the co-op/student recruitment program including short interval control metrics and ongoing trend analysis to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Conducts research on best practices to enhance and continually improve co-op student program elements and activities.
- Stays informed on emerging current with co-op and student trends and makes. recommendations to enhance student engagement marketing and advertising efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree in business human resources or other related discipline
- One (1) to three (3) years experience in talent acquisition support and coordination; prior experience leading student/co-op recruitment (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (required)
- Certified Human Resources Professional preferred
- Post graduate diploma in Human Resources preferred
- Full G Drivers Licence preferred
- Experience travelling to colleges and universities for participation in career fairs and events is an asset
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (preferred)
- Experience planning and coordinating large group events and/or programs
- Prior administrative or customer service experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of applicable laws including employment standards and human rights
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Collaboration and stakeholder management skills
