Were looking for a fully competent electric motor rewinderto take charge of repairs for our client in Perth.
About Our Client
Our client operates a large Electrical and Mechanical Workshop in Perth Western Australia. Their projects include servicing andrepairingelectric motors for some of the largest mining operations in the state.

About the Role
Youll be the leading hand responsible for carrying outthe rewind of various form-woundelectric motors from start to finish without assistance from other youll be working on3.3kV 6.6kV and 11kV motors from the mining industry.
When required youll be involved in training other staff in the various aspects of repairing and overhauling.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble repair overhaul and reassemble electric motors and generators
- Remove sample coils from damaged high-voltage motors
- Tape solderand make high-voltage coil connections
- Takeaccurate measurements for the manufacture of replacement coils
- Useelectrical and mechanical measuring and testing equipment to check the integrity of the motor
- Windhigh-voltage electric motors
About You
Youre fully capable of usingworkshop equipment and paying particular attention to workplace health and safety regarding yourself and other staff members.
Your attention to detail is impeccable and youre willing to learn as well as teach others new methods whenever possible.
Essential Skills
- 10 years of experience in the rewind of form-woundelectric motors
- The ability to lead and carry out rewind of 3.3kV 6.6kV and 11kV motors independently without assistance from other staff
- Able to accuratelycollect winding data off a damaged motor
