experienced professional to join them as
Senior / Manager (Building Operations) (Ref: KHXXX)
The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the
assigned campuses all aspects of building improvement and fit-out projects which
entail feasibility studies budgeting funding approval design project management
procurement regulatory compliance and design review quality assurance and timely
delivery for successful handover. He/She will plan and drive initiatives to enhance
effectiveness and efficiency of divisional policies system and processes and implement
projects to support the operations and services of the IHL in its current and new
campuses.
The Job
Be responsible for all aspects of facility management and maintenance
activities addition/alterations upgrading/refurbishment works to the estate
that includes building services Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems
security system & services housekeeping horticultural general logistics
and regulatory requirements
Manage service providers deployed at the estate and ensure they maintain
appropriate quality standards adhere to maintenance work order executions
preventive maintenance compliance timely delivery facility resource management
and inventory control
Ensure that service providers carry out works with the necessary risk
assessments and safety work procedures in place to manage works and project
risks.
Obtain stakeholders requirements to plan and review space programme for
the development of campus buildings and facilities to support the
institutions academic administrative and student activities.
Review the designs/specification/drawings submitted by consultants and/or
contractors to value-add to achieve quality compliance and value for money.
Attend meetings and carry out inspections on site to check that the works carried
out by the contractors meet the desired quality/workmanship are completed on
time and within budget.
Be part of the sustainability workgroup draft policies implement initiatives
and compile data and statistics for reporting
Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required by Management in the
course of work
The Candidate
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with recognized Degree in
Engineering Building Estates or Architecture
Proven track record in managing functions such as policy planning and
project management
Self-driven resourceful team player with good analytical written and
interpersonal communication skills and change management skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications relevant Singapore Standards Codes of
Practices and regulatory guidelines
Ability to exercise initiative manage pressure multitask and work independently
in a fast-paced environment
Customer-centric with excellent people management skills
Innovative and tech-savvy good articulation and writing skills
Cooperative and collaborative team player
Be involved in after office works when necessary and required
Ability to embrace manage change and diversity in a fast-paced work
environment to provide deliverables within short notice
