Description Resideos Innovation Team is looking for a Principal Firmware Engineer who is eager to create the next generation of smart home devices and has end-to-end design and development experience on RTOS platforms. Ideally you will possess expertise in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) WiFi Bluetooth audio processing and over-the-air (OTA) update capabilities. Your RTOS experience will be complemented by a strong foundation in embedded Linux and system programming equipping you to contribute to a wide variety of future this position you will work independently on firmware design and development within a cross-functional team of highly skilled hardware mobile and cloud engineers tasked with producing robust end-to-end demos that push the boundaries of whats possible in the smart home.
JOB DUTIES:
- Design and implement robust firmware for RTOS-based IoT devices
- Integrate wireless communications such as WiFi Bluetooth and higher-level messaging protocols
- Deliver complex firmware applications based on cutting-edge sensing modalities such as UWB
- Use tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug hardware
- Collaborate with hardware mobile and cloud teams
- Ensure security power efficiency and OTA readiness
- Test validate and document firmware for production
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 5 years of embedded systems experience including strong professional experience with Embedded Linux and system programming
- 2 years of experience in designing and implementing firmware for IoT devices based on RTOS platforms (FreeRTOS QNX or similar)
- Proven ability to actively lead the development of device drivers boot loaders kernel software and user applications
- Wireless stack development experience (WiFi BT/BLE)
- Proven ability to debug hardware and collaborate with hardware teams
