Learn more at are seeking a Manager Contract Management Cardiopulmonary (CP) in Strategy & Operations to be located in either Raritan NJ Springhouse PA or Titusville NJ.
The Manager Contract Management is a member of the Cardiopulmonary Strategy & Operations (S&O) Team who serves as a Strategy Office for the TA and is responsible for two critical disciplines (Strategy Management and Portfolio Management including Contract Management) that enables the effective execution of the TA Strategy. The Manager Contract Management provides critical strategic operational support to the TA and cross-functional project teams within CP comprising two areas of responsibility: (1) Contract Management and (2) Strategic Operations. The position works closely with members of the CP S&O Team and R&D SLT (Senior Leadership Team). This position will report to the Contract Management Leader for the CP TA.
You will be responsible for:
Contract Management
Drafting negotiating and facilitating the development and execution of HCP (Healthcare Professional) contracts working in strong collaboration with business partners across the CP R&D organization to understand business needs and their strategic fit within the organization and in accordance with J&J policy.
Tracking obligations and renewals ensuring compliance with contract terms and managing amendments and terminations.
Liaising closely with Finance Procurement Legal HCC and other functional partners to execute necessary processes and initiating supporting and closing-out HCP-related business engagements including routine troubleshooting and facilitating discussions to seek resolution.
Monitoring purchase order (PO) funding contract renewals and termination dates to lead contract life-cycle management.
Interfacing directly with external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and/or Suppliers to complete required contract process from initiation through payment including the creation of payment requests.
Identifying escalating and leading process gaps and leading contract process improvement initiatives.
Supporting/training business partners across the CP R&D organization regarding operational execution of contracting processes and inspection readiness.
Pro-actively communicating and acting as role model regarding adherence to business process requirements.
Assisting with escalations for stalled internal activities. Providing guidance to the business teams with the necessary steps and justifications required to successfully place a request with HCC systems (e.g. Totality/Request Navigator) and guide requests through approval.
Liaising closely with applicable HCC experts to ensure compliance with requirements and provide feedback to the business to contribute to transparency in reporting requirements.
Strategic Operations
Contribute to J&J enterprise and TA initiatives on behalf of S&O by leveraging contract management expertise to optimize TA and enterprise processes ensure compliance and enable execution of enterprise and TA priorities (e.g. Project Simplify).
Leverage technology/AI capabilities to improve compliance communication and efficient operations.
Maintaining project documentation in compliance with internal SOPs and applicable regulatory standards.
Facilitating communication and information flow amongst S&O TA and SLT team members and stakeholders.
Serve as the team lead for onboarding and mentorship of new associates

Build and maintain strong collaborations within the TA (TA R&D BD liaison for biology Clinical Development) and partnering functions (Regulatory Global Development Medical Affairs Commercial).
Share responsibility as a member of the TA for developing a world-class culture within the Cardiopulmonary TA and in the wider organization.
Required qualifications and experience:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is required.
Minimum of 5 years experience working in the global Pharmaceutical Biotechnology or Medical Device/Diagnostics industry or an institution that participates in pharmaceutical / Healthcare research.
Minimum of 3 years experience with sourcing procurement and/or contracting group supporting end-to-end processing of engagements.
Knowledge and understanding of legal/contract negotiation process laws and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in managing high-volume workload and prioritization.
Excellent knowledge of standard office software (e.g. Outlook MS office etc.) and other computer systems and technologies (e.g. Zoom/Teams SharePoint etc.).
Ability to work effectively independently and collaborate in a global team environment.
High level of professionalism discretion and integrity.
Ability and willingness to work in a global matrix environment with cross-functional international teams.
Ability to think dynamically with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience working with HCP/Healthcare Organizations (HCOs).
Familiarity with payment processes.
Business finance acumen and experience with reviewing processing invoices/POs.

$100000-$172500Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
