Colorados construction and skilled trades sector is booming fueling everything from housing and community development to large-scale infrastructure and green building projects. We are seeking our first Construction Trades faculty member to lead the way in building courses and training pathways that prepare students for high-demand hands-on careers. Faculty may have theoptionto teach courses during the summer semester foradditionalcompensation. Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods including face-to-face online computer-aided distance learning self-paced and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at anyACCcampusand at a variety of times (days evenings and some weekends).

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Construction Trades or related subfield AND has or qualifies for postsecondary CTE credentialing including 4000 verified hands-on construction trades occupational/industry hours;
OR
- A related Bachelors or any Masters degree with 18 discipline related credits AND has or qualifies for postsecondary CTE credentialing including 2000 verified non-teaching occupational/industry hours;
OR
- Current professional license in Construction or industry certificationANDhas or qualifies for postsecondary CTE credentialing including 4000 non-teaching occupational hours.
- OSHA certified trainer
- Experience teaching and/or training various subjects within the discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment working with and supporting students from diverse populations which may include but are not limited to historically marginalized communities such as people of color LGBTQ community members veterans first generation graduates and people with disabilities.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset regarding professional development.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a form that is appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4000 verified hours in construction management architecture civil engineering building science or industrial arts.
- Experience with program and curriculum development.
- Experience in facilitating equitable outcomes for customers key stakeholders or students using effective inclusive strategies.
- Demonstrate building successful professional relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external constituents and outside agencies.

This positions primary work location will be at ACCs Littleton campus but the incumbent may be required to work out of any ACC campus location. Travel around the service area to visit partner schools potential job sites meet with industry representatives and other locations to develop the Skilled Trades program.
Salary Information:
The projected start date for this position is August 2026. The salary range for this position is $61940 to $77239 commensurate with education and experience. This salary is based on 166 contract days within an academic year (August to May). Salary will be pro-rated based on actual contract days worked. This is a full-time 9-month FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System. AP 3-55 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments.
