PRTR is working with a Digital Transformation company and is seeking an expert Cloud Architect specialising in GCP. The ideal candidate must have the Google Professional Cloud Architect certification. The role offers 95% remote work flexible working hours and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing cloud solutions using GCP services including Compute Engine Cloud Storage BigQuery Kubernetes Engine and AI/ML tools.
- Overseeing migrating on-premises applications and workloads to GCP ensuring seamless transitions and optimal efficiency.
- Analyzing and refining cloud architectures to enhance performance security scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborating with developers DevOps teams and stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices including GDPR HIPAA and ISO.
- Serving as the primary escalation point for complex cloud architecture challenges.
- Documenting architecture designs configurations and operational procedures comprehensively.
- Providing training and expert guidance to internal teams on GCP best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in cloud architecture including a minimum of 3 years specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Deep understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine BigQuery Cloud Functions Cloud Storage VPC Networking Kubernetes (GKE) and IAM.
- Solid knowledge of cloud-native design principles including microservices and serverless architectures.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform Cloud Deployment Manager or Ansible.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in security frameworks identity management and compliance standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification or an equivalent qualification.
