Job Description

About the Role
  • Our client is seeking a Hands-On Java Architect who can balance architectural design with day-to-day coding responsibilities. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical depth and the ability to communicate design decisions effectively.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable solutions using Java Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • Stay hands-on with coding as part of day-to-day activities while driving architecture discussions.
  • Create and present architecture diagrams using and PowerPoint.
  • Clearly articulate design decisions architecture patterns and use cases to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
Requirements
  • 10 25 years of experience in software engineering (excluding 25 30 years profiles as they are typically less hands-on).
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • Solid experience in architectural design and documentation.
  • Experience with (or similar diagramming tools) and PowerPoint to explain architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills to present and defend architectural decisions.
  • Prior experience in banking/financial services (preferred).
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mississauga ON and work onsite.
