We are looking for a Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist a skilled individual with significant experience in recruitment and development that will live the values and culture of Southmedic while playing a key role in our talent management activities.

What You Will Do Today
- Lead professional recruitment efforts for the organization.
- Work with hiring managers to understand their needs and build the ideal candidate profile.
- Source candidates through job postings and other avenues while screening and interviewing candidates for presentation.
- Support onboarding and administrative activities to help provide an excellent introduction to the Southmedic experience.
- Support development activities.
- Work with our leadership team to understand the bottlenecks in talent within the organization where do we need help and how can we develop our current talent to fill these needs
- Promote the internal Continuing Education program and support building external development programs like apprenticeships and co-ops.
How The Role Will Evolve
- Drive engagement across Southmedic through the Gallup program; leverage our current program to measure engagement and support leaders in executing action item activities that fulfill employee needs.
- Create training and development initiatives to support individual growth. Build and administer programs to support both employees and leaders in various workplace topics
What We Need
- Experience and passion for leading recruitment efforts for an organization from start to finish. Beginning from realizing the need to hire all the way to an employees first day at work. This is an integral aspect of the role.
- Passion for executing and promoting corporate culture programs; fostering engagement with both employees and leaders to create value.
- Knowledge with succession planning and talent management concepts and working with hiring managers on execution.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and creating engagement with adult learners.
- Capability to effectively use PowerPoint Excel and basic graphic design tools like Canva.
- Strong administrator at ease when competing daily recurring tasks with a high attention for detail
- Engaging personality; comfortable with public speaking and making connections with new faces.
