Job Summary

Insurance Verification Specialist
A Great Opportunity / Full-Time /$17.50 - $18.50 per hour

ViaQuest offers quality highly-personalized specialized and cost-effective care solutions and services through Hospice Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions Day & Employment Services and Residential Services.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Maintain tracking and enter data for assigned tasks on the computer.
  • Maintain complete accurate and accessible client and company files within the electronic medical records system.
  • Complete all necessary intake forms and procedures.
  • Ensure that insurance verification is completed.
  • Prepare and organize paperwork for medical professionals as requested.
  • Ensure successful delivery of messages pertaining to medical information for all individuals served.
  • Ensure proper submission of documentation within required timeframes.
  • Ensure appropriate schedule of appointments as well as maintain and communication schedule changes call offs etc.
  • Perform/coordinate clerical duties as assigned (i.e. mass mailings meeting minutes disbursement of company mail etc.).
  • Ensure administrative coverage during times in which psychiatry services are being provided.
  • Act as liaison for contract facilities and provide documentation from scheduled rounds to ensure consistent and quality care.
  • Assist in maintenance of back office functions to ensure that the office/clinic is operating efficiently.
  • Assist in credentialing process as assigned.
  • Provide coverage for the administrative team as assigned.
Requirements for this position include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Health related field and knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Experience in/knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement guidelines.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and attention to detail.
